There are countless reasons to love JK Rowling. One is her peerless ability to destroy the increasingly fantastical Brexit fantasies peddled on Twitter.

Previously she stepped into the debate to shut down a Brexiteer who blamed Remainers for the failing EU negotiations. Now, she’s displayed that skill in fine style against Leaver luvvie and Conservative MEP, Daniel Hannan, by showcasing the glaring flaw in his shockingly bad and utterly unverifiable Brexit analogy.

Clearly unimpressed by Hannan’s ability to predict the future JK Rowling’s responded.

The titanic idiocy of Brexit has inevitably prompted an avalanche of commentary and correspondence critiquing its epic stupidity. However, some letters captured the mood, of an increasingly skeptical public, so well they went viral. To see why there were shared by tens of thousands and read by millions have look below.

The Poke, one of the UK’s funniest satirical websites, asked Twitter for Brexit themed children’s books to help with the task of explaining Britain’s slow motion suicide to kids. Needless to say, the internet delivered in fine style.

Just over a year after the British marginally voted to self-destruct by implementing an advisory referendum with bewildering fantasticism, the negotiations have finally kicked off. Needless to say, the breathtakingly clueless Tory Brexit government is floundering already. Just how badly inept they are is beautifully demonstrated by these cartoonists. Titanic idiocy doesn’t get much funnier (or more ridiculous).

Theresa May is truly jumping the shark in her personal odyssey of awful policy. After the Tory leader’s awful election result, our resilient Downing Street dweller is taking whatever support she can get. And that’s DUP, an ultra-conservative, terror-sympathizing northern-Irish unionist party.

Let’s take a look at some of the awful things these people have said in recent years, just so you can be clear what type of government her billion pound bribe has bought the good people of the UK.

1.

“My view on the earth is that it’s a young earth. My view is [it was created in] 4000 BC.”

Edwin Poots, MLA for Lagan Valley, DUP

2.

“I would not want abortion to be as freely available here [Northern Ireland] as it is in England and don’t support the extension of the 1967 act”

The group’s leader and a First Minister of Northern Ireland Arlene Foster, speaking to the Guardian in 2016.

3.

4.

“It is really astounding that David Trimble should have had a man such as this giving him advice – and must surely cast grave doubts on his own political judgement.

I think these sorts of relationships are immoral, offensive and obnoxious.”

Ian Paisley Jr,  DUP, after hearing that the former First Minister for Ireland, had a gay aide.

5.

“There can be no viler act, apart from homosexuality and sodomy, than sexually abusing innocent children.”

– Iris Robinson, DUP

6.

“I don’t care about Co2 emissions to be quite truthful because I don’t think it’s all that important”

– Sammy Wilson, DUP

7.

8.

“She was in an] inappropriate state of undress….

..If someone wants to borrow my field and things become inappropriate, then I say, ‘Enough is enough’…

I felt Rihanna was in more of a state of undress than a bikini top…Everybody needs to be acquainted with God and to consider his son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and his death and Resurrection”

Alan Graham, a DUP alderman for North Down Borough Council, in 2011 after giving permission to Rihanna to film her video in his wheat field.

Theresa May being strong and stable

British Prime Minister Theresa May has now set in stone a mantra for the upcoming General Election. With the drearily predictable “strong and stable” repeated ad infinitum, May continues what comes naturally to her. That is, of course, sounding like robotic bureaucrat trying to imitate Margaret Thatcher’s airy arrogance.

Happily, the Internet has done what it does best and had some fun with her PR spin.

Now Donald Trump has been president for a few months, we can officially add Trump photoshops to the list of “Things the Internet Loves”. So it should come as no surprise that people around the world have been getting creative with photo editing, and the result is tons and tons of amazingly hilarious, sometimes ridiculous, photos that show just how people feel about the newish president.

To find out more about the phenomenon, we had a chat with photoshopping creative Mr Left. By day, Mr Left is a sign writer and chalkboard artist for pubs and cafes and has done cartoons for magazines and teaching in the past.

Some photoshoppers do it out of boredom or just for laughs, while others, such as Mr Left, do it as a political statement. “I started doing photoshops last year as I’ve recently felt disenfranchised by the apparent rise in the right politically,” Mr Left says. “I grew up in Wales during the Thatcher years so could never be anything other than a liberal leftie, though I’m not too keen on the way Corbyn has taken Labour way too far left to be sensibly feasible either. Given that politics is only portrayed by extremes nowadays, I think it’s time to start kicking back at the pseudo-fascists and faux Marxists that seem to have taken over.”

Scroll down to see some of Mr Left’s most recent work, a brilliant series of Trump-inspired spoof film posters. We have a feeling they’re going to be playing on the bigly screen any day now!

Tens of thousands marched in London today to celebrate 60 years of the European Union and protest the titanic idiocy of Brexit. A triumphant display of British spirit, this sea of red, white, blue and yellow swept through the streets up to Parliament square proving that Remainers refused be cowed by terrorism in their fight for their children and grandchildren’s future. Friend of Ink Tank and ardent Remain campaigner, Simon Field was there and shared some of his favourite protest signs. These are 15 of our favourites.

No one has a bigger opinion of Donald Trump than Donald Trump. The Internet is on a mission to change that. How? Using the magic of Photoshop, of course.

The premise is simple: take a photo of Trump and shrink him down to the size of a small toddler. The result is a series of masterpieces that perfectly sum up how a huge portion of the world views the new President: childish, petulant, and small.

The meme kicked off when redditor theLAZYmd posted a photoshopped image of a teeny tiny Trump surrounded by his towering Secret Service (pictured above). Plenty of others joined in on the fun, and now there’s even an entire subreddit dedicated to the tiny presidential artwork. Scroll down and check out a few of our favorite Tiny Trumps below!
